The Chasen is a handmade bamboo whisk, traditionally used to mix the Matcha powder in hot water. This authentic whisk has 80 bristles and is handmade in Japan. Skilled craftsmanship passed down through generations is required to make each whisk from one integral piece of bamboo. Chasens cannot be made mechanically, even with modern technology. 

Directions: Always wet the whisk before use.Stir the Matcha in circular movements untill the tea has dissolved into the water. Rinse the whisk with water (avoid soap or detergents) and let it dry on top of a whisk holder.
