The bamboo scoop (Chashaku) is the traditional tool used to measure out the Matcha green tea powder.

A stalk of bamboo is split and patiently curved at the end by pressurised steam.

DIRECTIONS: The bamboo scoop should be dried with a dry clean cloth before and after use.
If it remains wet it can bend out of shape.

Use the curved end to measure out 1 scoop for a medium strength cup of tea or 2 scoops for a strong one.
